COMPETITIONS
ICFA's aim is
to make sure that compettions are carried out in the true
spirit of carp angling not just match angling and are also
properly and professionally organised.
There
have been a number of poorly organised international competitions
where the fishing is not reflective of "true"
carp fishing. Either the venue holds not enough fish, or
the venue holds lots of fish that are too small. ICFA ensures
that if a competition is seeking ICFA ratification status
it will be held on a "true" carp venue, will be
properly organised, and any prizes promised will be awarded.
If you are a competition organiser seeking ratification
we can assist you with the organisation and the rules of
your competition and also to make sure that the event is
run properly. We have a team of representatives that can
assist your judges and we will provide a head judge to ensure
the rules are adhered to and that the event has credibility.
We have a rules pack which must be followed and which we
can customize to suit your event. If the event is run along
ICFA guidelines it can be ratified by us. We can then assist
with the publicity of the event through our network of representatives.
For more information abut ratification please contact your national representative or ICFA head office.
As a competitor you can be assured that if an event is a ratified ICFA competition the rules will be correctly applied and that the prize fund will be presented and not withdrawn throughout the competition as we have seen with some independent events in the past.
